For Monday, 3/9

For Monday's class, come prepared to execute the homepage of your website – I want everyone to have a draft of their homepage done by the end of Monday's class. For that to happen, by the start of Monday's class, you should have:

1. Picked a host/template to use.

2. All the written content for that homepage drafted (and spell-checked!)

3. Any images or videos you are intending to use on hand.

If you are creating a blog for this class, then instead of content for a homepage, come with content for your first blog post.

Homework for Wednesday, March 4

For Wednesday's class, I want you to make a post on this blog, listing out all the elements you need to have for the official "launch" of your website. Divide the list between "content" and "functionality" – and here's an example of the sorts of things that might apply to each:

1. Content

Text for:
Intro Page
About Me Page
Captions for items in Store

Photos for:
Intro Page
About Me Page
Portfolio page
Shopping Cart

Video for:
Intro Page

2. Functionality

Photo portfolio slideshow
Commerce/Shopping App

Map this to your wireframe/flowchart - it's intended to be a checklist for what you'll need to gather/develop, and what sorts of things you might need to integrate into any template you might use.
